Chapter -220 – The legend of Lord Krishna – 71

Akrooroapi Cha Tham Rathrim Madhupuryam Mahamathi: | Ushithva  Rathamasthaya  Prayayau Nandagokulam || Gacchan  Padhi Mahabhago Bhagavathyambujekshane | Bhakthim Paramupagatha Yeva Methath Chinthayath ||

Karma/deeds and the results of Karma is interconnected, it is a never-ending process, as long as the Karma exists the results of Karma follows the soul, with the influence of it, the soul has to take several births.  The supreme Lord is impartial, he is neither considerate nor inconsiderate, and he is void of Karma and the results of Karma.  The Jeeva/ souls are fastened with the Karma and the results of it.  All the scriptures talk about the two sides of life, Sthoola/body & Sookshma/supreme soul, happiness and sorrow, success and failure, goodness and evilness. It predominantly describes the extra-ordinary powers of the Sookshma Shareera, it has immense potential to wedge with the material world, people, matter, richness, fame, etc.  In the same manner, it has the strength to elevate the soul from the pleasant and unpleasant matters as well/ Upanishads proclaims to raise from the Asath/impermanent to Sath/permanent bliss.  The study of spirituality is the learning of Sookshma Shareera/supreme consciousness/ and its commendable potentials, and raise the soul from the Sthoola Shareera/body consciousness/ which undergoes constant transformation and ruin.

Shuka Bhramam speaks “ Oh! Rajan, Akroora who is the chief of the assembly of Kamsa, at the instruction of the Bhojaraja prepared to leave to Mathura.  It was early hours of dawn, Akroora left his journey on his bullock cart to Vrindavan. His mind was completely soaked in the thoughts of Bhagavan who has beautiful eyes resembles lotus flower petals.  He thought, “Oh! Keshava I am the fortunate one I have the opportunity to meet you after fourteen years, even though I am an associate of wicked Kamsa.  Oh! Bhagavan, I have been following the Karma of Shudhra, serving the wicked people of Kamsa, I am contented in my life, and I have got the opportunity to meet you. Oh! Bhagavan, Kamsa gave me an opportunity to bring you to Mathura, therefore I am having the prospect to meet the supreme Lord who has manifested in Gokulam.  Oh! Bhagavan, who is worshiped and eulogized by deities and Rishis, grazing the cows and calves of Vraja, cheering the women and men of cowherds in Vrindavan, Oh! Bhagavan, you have incarnated on the Earth to reduce her burden and bless all your passionate devotees, I consider myself as the most fortunate one to meet that supreme Lord.  Oh! Bhagavan, you have performed various amusements, mere listening to them would remove the sins of the souls and elevate the souls to the state of bliss, whoever stays away from listening to those glorious myths would consider as dead and they would remain a burden on the Earth.  Oh! Bhagavan, you are supreme preceptor, you have incarnated on the Earth to elevate the souls, you appear in Saguna form before your devotees who venerate you, you are supreme soul resides as a soul in living beings, and showering your eternal grace upon them, I am fortunate to have your Dharshan.  Oh! Bhagavan, you have incarnated as a cowherd in Vraja and performed various pastimes before the cowherds and women of cowherds, I shall prostrate before Vraja, and the people of Vraja,  Oh! Bhagavan, even though I am an emissary of Kamsa, I am thoroughly aware of the fact that you have no feeling of resentment against me, Oh! Kshethrajja, you are all-pervading, pure and impartial.  Oh! Bhagavan, I shall take surrender at your lotus feet, it would remove all the impurities of my mind and intellect,  Oh! Bhagavan, I am fortunate to take birth in the Vrishni clan and known to be your relative, you are supreme Lord, the thought of your embrace, addressing me ‘Thatha’ /uncle,  transports me to the state of supreme bliss that would relieve me from all the impurities and worldly bondage.  Oh! Bhagavan, you are the knower of All, I am an emissary of Kamsa to take you to Mathura.”  In this way, Akroora immersed in the various thoughts of Krishna while traveling to Vrindavan,”

Chapter -219 – The legend of Lord Krishna – 70

Shuka Bhramam speaks “ Oh! Rajan, Maharishi Narada has sung in praise of Krishna and returned to his abode.  The cowherds gathered around Krishna and immensely praised him for the death of the demon Keshi, and they all returned to Vraja.   Once, Krishna and the cowherds were playing hide and seek, suddenly there appeared a demon Vyomasura, he seized the children who were hiding from Krishna and deposited inside a cave and closed its opening.  Krishna realized the trouble of cowherds with his divine power; he caught hold of the demon Vyomasura, squeezed his neck and killed. Thus, Krishna saved all those children of cowherds from the cave."

Like any other legend, the Vyomasura Vadham speaks about the immense potential of the human mind and intellect, if it is vested on people, wealth, matter and possession of material things, without the knowledge of impermanent nature of it, it would push the individual into constant miseries and grief.  If the mind and intellect is vested on the supreme Lord who resides as a soul in us, it would do great wonders in our lives and society as well.

Chapter -218 – The legend of Lord Krishna – 69

Shuka Bhramam speaks “Oh! Rajan, once, the demon Keshi who assumed the form of a fierce horse and arrived in Vrindavan, it has big eyes and dreadful appearance, he dashed all over in the Vrindavan, produced loud noises and kindled extreme fear in the people of Vraja.  He dashed to Krishna and made an effort to give a powerful kick, was caught hold of his two legs and spinning in the sky, like a serpent caught between the sharp nails of Garuda.  The fight between Keshi and Krishna continues, finally, he thrashed Keshi on the ground, squeezed his neck and stuffed his arm inside the throat of Keshi, blocking the air passage.  Thus the demon Keshi got killed.”

The entire legends in the Srimad Bhagavath Mahapuran speaks a large volume of the power of human intellect and mind which is originated from the supreme soul. The human mind and intellect have weaknesses as well as immense strength, the supreme soul resides as a soul in living beings has immense power to conquer all those weaknesses and tribulations.  The constant practice of meditation and contemplation upon the supreme Lord removes the weaknesses in the human intellect and improves the clarity of thoughts and brilliance.

Shuka Bhramam speaks “ Oh! Rajan, thus Krishna killed the demon Arishta who terrified the people of Vraja.   Maharishi Narada paid a visit to the palace of Kamsa, and asked the welfare of his kingdom and its people.  He enquired about his powerful attendant who was killed by Krishna.  Maharishi revealed the highly confidential matter to Kamsa, the daughter of Devi Yasodha, who was got killed in his hands, he also revealed the truth to Kamsa about Rama and Krishna are the sons of Devi Devaki, and all of his powerful attendants were faced death in the hands of Rama and Krishna.  Kamsa enraged stood up from his throne, took out his powerful sword and prepared to kill Vasudeva was intervened by Maharishi Narada and advised him to kill the children of Devi Devaki who is nurturing by Nandababa and Maharishi Narada left the palace of Bhojarajapathi.  Kamsa became uneasy, he called for an urgent meeting of members of the royal assembly, they have nothing to discuss other the two children of Devi Devaki, and have they decided to kill the children employing the powerful demons like Keshi, Mushtika, and Chanoora.  The powerful demons Malla and Chanoora were assigned for wrestling with Krishna and Rama. Kamsa went to meet Akroora who is the maternal uncle of Krishna, he instructed Akroora to bring Krishna and Rama from Vraja, with false information that there is a huge celebration going to be held in Mathura.  Kamsa revealed his intention to kill the children, King Ugrasena, Devi Devaki and Vasudeva, without knowing the fact that Akroora is the emissary of Krishna.  Akroora who was waiting for fourteen years to meet Krishna, used to listen to the various pastimes of Krishna from Maharishi Narada, was extremely delighted to hear the news to bring the children to Mathura, immediately the wicked thought of Kamsa to put the children into troubles made him deeply anxious."

Akroora speaks “ Oh! Rajan, I really appreciate your thoughts to bring Rama and Krishna from Vraja, be prepared yourself to receive whatever comes on your way as it was pre-destined.  You cannot win over the ‘Time’, be ready to take it whatever happens in your life with a firm mind, plans may work or may not work but do not get thrilled or disappointed it’s all predestined by the supreme Lord.  Therefore it is our duty to perform the tasks without expecting the fruits.”

Chapter -216 – The legend of Lord Krishna – 67

Shuka Bhramam speaks “ Oh! Rajan, once there appeared demon Arishta in the form of a Vrishabhasura.  The bull has fierce form, quivered the earth with its hooves creating a pool of dust, he forcefully pierced the earth with its sharp horns, producing loud noises, leaving urine and droppings.  The pregnant women lost their fetus watching the brutal nature of the bull.  The cowherds cried out loudly for Krishna.”

Krishna Krishnethi They Sarve Govindham Sharanam Yayu: | Bhagavanapi Thadhveekshya Gokulam Bhayavidhrutham ||

Shuka Bhramam continues “ Krishna responded to the cries of cowherds immediately, he asked them to remain silent.  Krishna rushed to the bull and provoked him; it dashed to Krishna with great speed.   Krishna caught hold of its two horns and pushed it back at the same speed.  The bull regained its strength and pushed back Krishna who plucked out the two horns and attacked the bull.  In this way, Krishna killed the vicious bull; the deities appeared on the sky and showered flowers on Krishna.”

In this legend the demon Arishta appeared with extreme pace to attack the supreme Lord Krishna, had to face terrible death in the hands of Krishna.  The Supreme Lord who is unconquerable resides as a soul in the living beings, the supreme soul has immense potential, and hence the supreme Lord is named as Adibeeja.   He is the source of the function of mind, intellect, Prana, Gnana, and Karmendhriyas.  The realization of the supreme soul /the knowledge of self with the constant practice of meditation and contemplation would increase the confidence and the serenity of the mind; it would give immense strength in the individual to face any adverse situation in the life with a balanced state of mind, like the rain clouds could not harm the brilliance of Sun.
